Golfer Henry Smart heads to Hawaii with the team this weekend to compete in the Kauai Collegiate Invitational (CofCAthletics)

College of Charleston heads off to Hawaii this weekend where they will play at the Puakea Golf Club Oct 30 to Nov. 1. The golf team has put up some pretty phenomenal stats over the past two weekends and has great momentum going into the weekend.

The past two weeks the Cougars have competed at the Brickyard Collegiate Golf Championship and at the Invitational on Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course. The Cougars grabbed 13th place at the Brickyard and 5th at the Ocean Course on Kiawah

Players Henry Smart, John Duke Hudson, Alex Ellis, Neil Gowan, and Seth Stuart all have been topping the leader board.  These athletes have been able to put up relatively low and threatening scores for any opposing team.

Most recently Smart was able to drop his score 10 point, from 78 at the start, dropping down to an impressive 68 on the last day at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island. Overall Smart was able to shoot an even par during the weekend.

Hudson has also claimed great stride during the Brickyard Collegiate Golf Championship shooting 73-71-74 over the course of the weekend and finishing top for the Cougars at +2.

The tournament the Cougars will be competing will be the Kauai Collegiate Invitational in Kauai, Hawaii. It will be hosted by Hawaii at Puakea Golf Club.
