Every semester. EVERY semester that I can remember - high school, too - I've made a commitment during exams. I tell myself that I am going to study. Yes, guys, I do study. In this case, I mean hardcore studying - real studying - platonic studying. You know?! Pencils sharpened, paper ready, Facebook & Twitter off, and books open.

Tuesday night, President Obama delivered a major speech concerning his our nation's involvement in Afghanistan.  This was against the backdrop of Republican criticism that he was stalling and increasing discontent with the prospect of an escalation from the left.  The bullet-points?  30 000 troops are headed to Afghanistan to help stabilize the Afghan government and a timetable for the withdrawal of our troops from that country.

He may appear to be the long lost Jonas Brother, but Jer Coons’ performance at the Pour House this Wednesday disproved this theory.
