The softball team opened its home season earlier than expected.
The Cougars were supposed to open the season at South Carolina in the Palmetto State Showdown last weekend, but the winter weather canceled the event.

Men’s tennis kicked off the spring season Jan. 23 with strong performances at the Hokie Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. The Cougars picked up three wins against players from nationally ranked teams Indiana and Harvard.

Donavan Monroe had a career-high 29 points to lead the Cougars to a 80-77 victory over Elon on Thursday night in front of 3,023 at the Carolina First Arena.

 It was Matt Sundberg’s night for the Charleston Cougars as he scored a career-high 17 points to give Charleston an 86-74 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs on Thursday.
