The Sound of Charleston’s After Party

Towards the beginning of the semester, one of our writers, Jess Wisner, came into the newsroom and pitched us this idea: let’s follow the crew of Gilroy’s Pizza on King Street around for a night. They’re a CofC cultural icon, she said.

Immediately, a podcast came to mind – but we’ve never done that before. That wasn’t stopping us. Armed with expensive recording equipment, a few of us hung out at Gilroy’s one weekend night in mid-October. We spent the entire night there, capturing the sound of Charleston’s After Party.
