The semester is coming to a close and finals are beginning. But do not fear CofC students — the Cougar Countdown is here to help you destress and get through finals in one piece!
Throughout Reading Day and the rest of finals week, activities have been planned around campus to help students do just that survive the week. Enjoy mini-massages, free coffee, yoga, Zumba, puppies and pancakes, as well as various other activities.
Kicking off Reading Day on Dec. 2, go to an “Ask a Prof!” session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Addlestone where various members from each department will be there to answer any questions students might have about material or help them in any way they can. Also, stop into Liberty Fresh Foods at 10:30 p.m. for a “Moonlight Breakfast” as a pick me up while you’re hastily studying for any finals you have in the approaching days.
On Dec. 4, enjoy “Pancakes with the President” on Rivers Green from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Watch President McConnell whip up pancakes for many sleep deprived students and also give him constructive criticism of his pancake flipping abilities so he knows what to do in the upcoming years.
“Puppies on the Green” or “Pets for Less Stress” will take place on Dec. 5, from noon to 3 p.m. behind the library on Rivers Green. Go out and pet some of your stress away with adorable puppies and dogs that just want you to give them your love, courtesy of Pet Helpers.
In addition to these fun filled events to help students not be as stressed during the week, peer counseling will be available to students on many of these days in the Center for Student Learning, or CSL. If you feel overly stressed, do not be afraid to go and talk about it.
