Cougars Dominance Continues

The Cougars dominated once again-sweeping both Towson and Delaware over the weekend.

On Friday, Krissy Mummey was the MVP with fourteen kills and zero errors all game.  Allison Beckman also pitched in eleven digs, three kills, and two blocks, and McKala Rhodes had a match-high fifteen digs. Jane Feddersen had a match-high Friday night with seven blocks.

Charleston won the match in straight sets- with scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-17.

Sunday saw another big victory for the Cougars as they took care of Delaware in straight sets.

Devon Rachel led the stat sheet with fifteen kills while Mummey followed with eight kills and five blocks.

Feddersen posted another match-high this weekend with six blocks. Accompanied by Rhodes’ ten digs the Cougars made a clean sweep of the Blue Hens.

The play from the Cougars has been very impressive. Over their last five games, the Cougars are 4-1 and have swept two of their opponents. In addition, the Cougars are tied for second in the CAA standings with an overall record of 16-4 and a conference record of 5-1.

Charleston’s next match is on the road against Elon on Oct 13.
