Charleston Miracle’s First Push Day- What You Need to Know

Charleston Miracle’s first push day is coming up tomorrow, and their executive board has planned a ‘CORAL Cart Clash’ on Tuesday, November 12th, to raise money. A push day is a day full of fundraising activities to try and collect a significant amount of money in a short amount of time. Charleston Miracle’s goal for the 24-hour-long push is to raise $18,000.

A CORAL (Children’s Organizational Resource Acknowledging Life and Loss) Cart is a resource available on the NICU floor of MUSC’s Children’s Hospital. The carts act as a comfort to patients and their families, providing snacks, toiletries, blankets, and even meal and parking vouchers.

The fundraising goal is not arbitrary- $18,000 is enough to fully fund a CORAL cart for an entire year.

In order to raise the money, Dance Marathon members will be setting up in Cougar Mall from 10:30-3:30 to have a bake sale. In addition to the bake sale, they will be hosting a tag sale at the intersection of Green Way and College Way from 1-3pm.

Finally, to round out the push day, all those who fundraised or contributed are invited to Rita 201 from 7-9pm for an end-of-the-day push and to celebrate the final total.

Make sure to come out and support their fundraising efforts!
