WHO Declares Global Health Emergency due to Coronavirus

The World Health Organization has declared a Global Health Emergency due to the spreading of Coronavirus.

The Coronavirus was first diagnosed and spread in Wuhan City, China on December 31, 2019 and has now grown to over 9,800 confirmed cases around the globe all linking back to Wuhan City. 

213 people have died due to the novel virus. 

The acute respiratory disease has been confirmed in the United States at an airport in Los Angeles and has now had its first confirmed person-to-person Coronavirus transmission in Chicago, Illinois. Six cases have been confirmed in the U.S so far. 

82 new cases have been confirmed in 18 other countries including India, Finland and the Philippines.
