In anticipated runoff, John Tecklenburg elected mayor

On Tuesday, John Tecklenburg was elected Charleston’s next mayor. Tecklenburg trumped opponent Leon Stravrinakis in the runoff election with 57.5 percent of votes to Stravrinakis’ 42.5 percent.
